Porcelain Flowers
Course Description
Inspired by the traditional skill of bone china flower making, this course is a fun way to explore constructing flowers in ceramics. The end results will be fired to a delicate white to collect at a later date. You will make three flowers, with the opportunity to add small colour details if you would like to and if there is time. These flowers make a lovely addition to a bouquet of flowers, or simply as ornaments in their own right. A fun workshop to book with friends or family, simply get in touch to arrange a date for your group! Your flowers will be ready approx 3-4 weeks after the session. If you have any questions please check FAQ's or get in touch with me directly. Two people minimum per booking. £45 per person

Important information
What to bring: These sessions aren’t overly messy, but you may wish to bring an apron or wear clothes you don’t mind getting dirty, just in case! After the Session: Your work will be fired twice: first a bisque firing, followed by a final glaze firing. The clay must be “bone dry” before entering the kiln, and the kiln must be full for each cycle. Generally, your work will be ready for collection within three to four weeks. However, please understand that factors beyond my control (such as cold weather, kiln maintenance, or waiting for a full load) may extend this timeframe. I will contact you as soon as your work is ready to collect. Important note on breakages: While it doesn’t happen often, I cannot guarantee that work won’t crack during the drying process or inside the kiln. This is an inherent risk of pottery that can affect beginners and experts alike. I cannot offer refunds for work that breaks in the kiln or is damaged while awaiting collection. Collection: All finished work must be collected within two weeks of receiving your “ready for collection” email. Due to very limited storage space and the risk of damage on busy shelves, I cannot hold items beyond this period.
