Porcelain Vase and Tealight Holder

Course description:

In this session you will hand build a porcelain tealight holder and vase. Embossing textures and patterns will add surface detail and accentuate the translucent qualities of this pure white clay, creating beautifully delicate finished pieces.

There are plenty of textures to choose from in the studio, but feel free to bring your own to press in, you may have a favourite flower or a particular textured fabric you would like to use. 

Work should be ready to collect 2/3 weeks after the session. This is not a guaranteed time scale and can take longer depending on drying time/kilns.

Please be aware things can break in the kiln, it is unlikely but is one of the pitfalls of ceramics!

Please note the potters wheel is not used in this class.

Cost:

£40 per 2 hours including materials and firings. 2 people minimum required per booking.

These sessions are booked on an ad-hoc basis. Typically availability is on Mondays, Fridays and weekend daytimes.
